About Me

I’m a therapist based in New York, and I work with individuals and couples navigating relationships, cultural identity, and the pressures of modern life.  I often support Asian Americans, adult children of immigrants, professionals, and couples who want to better understand themselves and the patterns shaping their choices.

I grew up as the eldest daughter in a Chinese immigrant family, which shaped my perspective on cultural expectations, intergenerational dynamics, and family relationships. I also spent several years working in corporate and start-up environments, where I witnessed firsthand the stress, burnout, and perfectionism that can come with fast-paced, demanding careers.  These experiences have given me insight into the challenges many clients navigate in both personal and professional life.

I became a therapist after experiencing the impact of therapy firsthand. Having a space to be seen and understood showed me what becomes possible when we slow down and reflect more deeply. That experience led me to pursue this work and continues to shape my commitment to helping others create meaningful change in their own lives. My own transition from a corporate career into clinical practice also informs the way I understand the challenges of navigating uncertainty and pursuing a different path.

I hold a Master of Social Work from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. My clinical training includes both individual and couples therapy, with a focus on psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches.
